The SAEM Saemmul Wrapping Tint RD02 Real Red Review

Hello everyone!

I have another review from my last Beautynet Korea haul. It's the Saemmul Wrapping Tint from a brand that I don't have too much experience with called the SAEM. I bought it in Real Red but it comes in three other shades. There is RD01 Redberry, OR01 Sweet orange and PK01 Rose Pink. This tint is a peel-off tint and I really wanted to try it because they're pretty popular right now. I've also never tried anything like it before so I was pretty excited for this product.

I paid $4.79 USD for this on Beautynet Korea. There is 15g of product in the tube. The packaging is similar to a tube lipgloss. It is a squeezable tube with an applicator tip to dispense the product on your lips. According to the product description the special ingredients featured in this product are birch sap for elasticity, tocopherylacetate for moisture, rosa damascena flower water to prevent dryness and glycerin for moisture and for glossiness.

To apply this product you need to apply a liberal amount on your lips and allow 10-15 minutes for it to dry. This will cause you to go through product quickly but it really doesn't work if you don't apply a thick enough layer so this is unavoidable. You need to keep your lips apart while they are drying or they will get stuck together. One it is dry you slowly peel off the dried tint from the corners of your lips inwards.

It is a little hard to apply the tint, you need to work quickly or it'll start getting more and more sticky and will apply unevenly. The first time I used the tint I applied a little bit more on one side of my lip than the other by accident so the colour was slightly uneven. It wasn't super noticeable though and I applied a glossy lip balm overtop and it really disguised it. It also doesn't feel like you are wearing anything after you peel the tint off, it isn't sticky and it feels light.

I found that the tint is pretty long lasting, I wore it on a day out shopping and it was fine until I ate. I had a coffee and it was fine, it didn't really leave any colour on the cup, not much anyways, and it didn't fade. However, when I had lunch then I discovered afterwards that it had worn off except for a red ring around the outside of my lips :( To be fair though, my lunch was kinda greasy haha. The tint lasted me about 3-4 hours before I ate without really fading. It may be fine if you don't eat or if you eat something light. My biggest issue with this product is that when it wears off and you're in public than it is hard to reapply. I didn't exactly want to apply this and wait 10-15 minutes to take it off in the middle of the restaurant.

I thought the colour was super pretty though and I really liked how unique the product was and how fun it is to apply. Overall I would say it is fun for the novelty factor. Feel free to let me know if you have tried this product or what your opinion of it is :)

        What I liked:  -Pretty colours
                               -Non-sticky
                               -Novelty factor
                               -You go through product quickly

What I didn't like:  -Wears off unevenly
                               -Can be hard to apply
                               -Reapplication is inconvenient

Rating: 3/5

This review was unsponsored and the product was bought with my own money.
